Thomas F. Biggs was born in Garfield Hts., Ohio. As a high school student, Thomas excelled in video production and promotions. He was the news anchor and producer of his high school news. Even at his young age he successfully promoted and arranged several concerts with local bands in and around the Cleveland area. As you can see, the motivation, drive and seeds for success were planted early with Mr. Biggs.
In 1988 Thomas attends the University of Akron. While pursuing a major in Mass Media Video & Print Communication Studies he worked as a production assistant for WJW-TV, in Cleveland for three years. In addition he was a sports reporter and editor for The University of Akron’s newspaper The Buchetlite.
In 1993 Thomas moved to The Big Apple where he worked as a production assistant for Viacom stations MTV - VH-1. He also worked freelance assignments with HBO Sports, The Food Network and ABC Sports. Thomas gained considerable “big market” experience, working on such shows as House of Style with Cindy Crawford and MTV News.
In 1995 Thomas left from the number one market in New York to Toledo, Ohio to become a full-time director with WNWO-TV. For the next two years he mastered his skills in video productions; directing, technical directing, graphic designing and producing live newscasts, plus supervising daily studio and field productions. He was a jack-of-all-trades. Giving back to the Toledo community, Thomas taught video production weekend classes at The Bowling Green University.
Seeking a more active role in overall video productions, Thomas moved to Youngstown, Ohio in 1997 under the same capacity as a director, but with greater responsibilities. Thomas honed his craft as the senior director with WKBN-TV / WFYX-TV by directing over 700 hundred shows a year! For the next five years Thomas took on supervising assignments where he consistently ensured projects were completed timely and achieved expected results with every newscast and video production.
In 2003 once again it was time for change in Thomas’ life when he traded the cold northeast Ohio days for the beautiful beaches and hot sunny days in Sarasota, Florida. At WWSB-TV Thomas took on the role as a graphics designer. Thomas was responsible for creating all graphics for newscasts, commercials and promotional video assignments. Additionally Thomas would sit-in as director, producer, and camera operator for various productions. After three years with WWSB-TV and a brief stint at WCJB-TV, in Gainesville, Florida, Thomas decided to pursue his ultimate dream of owning and operating his own video production company.
Since 2006 the TBTV Productions headquarters is located in Sarasota, Florida and is earning a strong reputation for client service and for creating video productions designed to meet client video production needs.
